The highest denomination found so far I think in Euro is the 50 cent and I know that there are many magician double $2 euro out there but this one the other side is rotated 180 degree? and it doesn't look like it was fabricated but I may be wrong/ I have posted some pictures...maybe you can find something fishy about it?:rollling:

Please post good photos of the edge and the inside angle of where the coin field meets the rim, as most doubled head/tail coins are either joined together or a precision lathe has been use near the rim to fit the 2 partial coins into 1.

click on my avatar for additional pictures, they are located in my album. I also do realise how magician double tail are made with the middle being taking off
and the other side from a different coin inserted inside the hollow coin and then seamed but really this one tings when you bounce it and I really don't know
if it was seamed together cause if it was then they really did a good job. I will have to send it to NGC or PCGS. I'm a little skeptical though about the genuinety
of this coin cause it just doens't weight up to the standard $2 euro weight but the coin is in circulated condition and could maybe grade XF but not any higher,
so some weight from the coin being circulated could have maybe lowered the weight...no? it weight at 8.0 Grams

it has 2 same sides. Look at the " O " in EURO of each pictures, you will see the difference. you can check other pictures by clicking on my avatar, in my album.

Normal 2 Euros weigh from 8.4 to 8.53 grams from what I've seen. I don't think it'll lose .4 grams in circulation.

That's what I thought too, usually the magician coins are below the weight because of the hollow space , showever the coin does give a ping sound when you bounce it,
no dull or emptiness is heard from this coin. This coin must had been in circulation for some time and it may be a magician coin that was put in circulation sometimes ago but
why would someone want to spend a $25 for $2 EURO worth? but then again why not! short on money or maybe the the kids stole the coin from daddy and bought themself some candy,
who knows. I really don't know if it's real or not but if I think of it now the magician $2 EURO only comes with the same geometrical equivalency and that being
that the both sides are non - rotated , both being the same when turned horizontaly. With this coin, when rotated horizontaly the other side is 180 degree rotated so
maybe someone just rotated the other side of the insert and then they would have glued the parts together i guess? I will be sending this coin to have authenticated even
though it's underweight but I had to put this thread cause I really don't want to spend $25 to have it graded and I don't want to spend $25 and buy myself a magician coin
so I could compare them both. Does anyone out there have or seen one before and can make a diagnosis and compare this one with what the magician coin sounds like when
you bounce it? Does it give a ping sound or is it hollow like sound? ..anyone

Also because of the magician $2 EURO being the same on both sides and this one is rotated at 180 degree then someone must of have split the middle centre part and
twisted the image 180 degree, glued together and then they would have put it back in the centre of the coin and seamed it together, I guess that's the
only way this $2 EURO could had been fabricated but I can't see any seams in the centre of the coin. ....any thoughts?

    2 ways.

#1 - Cut 2 different coins in half through the edge of the coin and then join them together. Look for a joining line on the edge going around the coin.

#2 - Mill out the center of one coin, then mill out the outside of the second coin til it can fit inside the first. Look for a joining line on the inside of the rim where it meats the surface of the coin.

I looked for a seam on the edge, but I don't see one.

often times they are good enough that it doesn't show except under magnification, the OP should try a stereo microscope.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

The only way to know is through auction. I wouldn't use ebay for this. Heritage maybe, but not ebay.

Give us the cert # so we can look it up to see it. Thanks.

every other Euro double die have been sold to someone except this $2 euro and there maybe a $1 Euro out there as well. The $ 2 Euro is widely known for the double tail and double head as the magic coin except this one of course which came out to be genuine.
