Thank you all for your input. I really want to learn about altered coins without having to foolishly waste money on them. I knew I could count on your experience! I learned something today. Edit...I may just change my "Blob Fish" avatar. Even though the discovery of new marine animals is interesting to me maybe I should go with a more coin related theme. Should the Blob Fish Go? Would a coin pic be more suitable? I do have a brand new picture of a squid that is interesting.
here is a good article on alterations, including whizzing. PCGS discussion on it describes some more modern aspects. http://www.pcgs.com/Articles/Detail/2341 Jim
What I don;t get is that the seller claims to offer 100% satisfaction guaranteed, yet no returns are accepted. Is that some kinda doublespeak, or am I stupid ? gary
All those people in the mustard business are depending on you to have mustard on your hot dog.
I found a 2010 white James Buchanan presidential dollar coin. How can i find out if this coin is a mint error or a fake. Thx Mycoins39
True... when a seller ends the auction, the listing page remains with a note "seller ended auction early"... when eBay pulls a listing it simply says "item no longer available", with the auction page completely gone.
Just select the appropriate forum, for this case I would suggest Error coins. On the left side, below the banner, just click on "post new thread". Oh, and please provide pics. Mike
