As always, I am on the hunt for albums full of toners, even when I am not "purchasing" coins right now lol. This time, I came across one for Washington quarters. They weren't all toned, but here are the highlights from the album.
Once again, the silver was all gone. Probably more victims to the melting pot.

You can really notice the unique toning and colors a Dansco album will tone a coin. At the bottom of my post you will see an example from Dansco album toned nickels, and half dollars.

I was very pleased when these arrived. Not only because of the color and blazing luster, but the grade of these quarters. They are simple stunning and very gemmy.
Thanks for taking the time to view this.

Dansco album toned half dollar and nickel. You can really see the similarities in toning patterns and color.

Very nice! I can only imagine what those silvers looked like given the quality of those clads! Hopefully they weren't the victim of a melting pot.

One of my 64 Kennedy halves in my Dansco has a "propane-flame colored" blue starting on its edges that is just phenomenal. I wish I could capture it as nicely as you were able to do with your new toners.

That's the start of it! Can't wait for you to sell it to me.

The missing silver... This happens often when I find albums. The Kennedy toner album was also missing the silver. it is such a shame to think about those poor little guys getting melted.

They look spectacular! I would be quite happy to find coins like that, too. Also, one can find similar toning in Capital Plastics holders.

very nice. i love the '83. a little bit different coloring then the others. i have a set of the silver state quarters in a dansco album and they have all started to tone some in only a few years. :) cant wait to see how they turn out.

Like 'em all but I LOVE the 65, 73s and 83. Nice score!

I don't understand, doesn't "toned" mean "chemical damage"? Is this somehow a desirable characteristic?

    Wow!!

There are some really great coins there.

The '84-D appears to be a type "d" so it's not from a mint set.

Those are some blazers, real shame the silvers are not in there. Those would have been equally stunning.

@ digi - Theres artificial toning, and then theres a natural toning. Thats what some of us enjoy. Like someone said, tons of threads about it.

To me, its a personality the coin gives off. I get same feeling with Rothko's art. I dunno lol
