Not sure if you were planning on keeping the '88A L-C for yourself, but L-C is actually like on if the few blocks I need on '88A L $1's. Just saying...

Excellent finds! Have you seen my most recent post today about my teller finds?

Hi guys, I think im going to make the transition from coin roll searching to searching straps of money. I do see this thread is 55 pages and was wondering if theres a current thread about what to look for / what I need. The main reason I want to switch is because it seems cashing in the paper money would be more convenient at my bank *TD*

On a different thread you said " I'm collecting by district, not block. "

I would help by looking to find notes you need and collect, but I'm not sure what you collect Travis. (blocks or districts)...just saying

When searching straps, generally it's anything that catches your eye. Fancy serial numbers, star notes, and errors are what most people look for that could have a premium. Some others collect old series (small-head) notes, certain districts, and/or certain blocks. It all depends on how deep you want to go down the rabbit hole. :)

Is there a guideline for what would carry a premium?

I work in a restaurant and I'll be switching to a server within the next few weeks, so i'll be able to see more cash on a daily basis. I might have to start asking to look through my friends money :p

Searched $400 worth of singles today, and had some pretty good finds:

    1988A: A-A
    1995: D-H, and I-C.
2006: F-*, and a K-*. The F-* was pretty cool, because it is from the first run, of 640K.

    Happy hunting, everybody!

When I said I was collecting by district, I meant for the $10's. You're right, I should have made that more clear.
I collect Series '95 and earlier, denominations $1-$20, blocks.
    CU Minneapolis notes, $5's and $10's, '09 and earlier (except '04A $10 and '06 $5 & '06 $10).
    Besides those particularly, all stars.

Let me know if you know anybody about those CU Minneapolis $5's and $10's. I assume if anything, those would be the kind of notes you would know how to get.

Oh! And how could I ever forget 1995 $20 star notes. They're extremely tough to find. Anytime someone had one for sale that I could find on the internet, I bought it up. I think I have bought a total of 6 or 7 of them. Sounds like a lot, but that's over 2 years of searching for them and I literally check like every other day.

Thanks for keeping a lookout Steve!

I tried posting some picture of the 1977 $20 L-C, but it kept saying URL invalid. I'm on my way to the Oakland Athletics game right now, so I will post pictures of that tonight when I have more time to figure it out. They're going against Yankees. Go A's!!

Went by the ATM to withdraw money and got a stack of consecutive serial numbered notes.

While it was fun I'm probably going to end up spending them. Its just too much money to be holding on to for fun.

I sure would. The '69s are actually tough to find in circulation these days.

My wife took me to the Thursday night game one of that series. The A's beat up the Yanks pretty good!

Man, you're lucky for going to the A's game. I'm a huge A's fan but being in PA I've never had a chance to go to one. They're on fire this month!

Saw them play in Baltimore and in Boston though.

If I'm not mistaken, they won each of the four by one! Now that's clutch, and they increased their walk off wins total to what now, 11, 12? That's crazy

They're 14-2 for the month of July, not half bad. Considering the division they play in and the young talent.
