So I haven't been buying like I used too, and this is my first Barber purchase in a while. I have been doing good holding out, but when you find such original coins, it's hard to pass even though they are mostly common date coins. Which is why I don't mind spending the money. Doesn't really hurt the house/baby fund. This one might look familiar to Elbesaar. Bought this one off of JJ Teaparty today at the Baltimore show.
Yup - I had a half Dozen 1901-P's in assorted grades - and Liz bought that one. I heard thru the grapevine that she bought another Half set immediately after buying some of my dupes !
I really didn't look through much of her inventory. I was mostly window shopping. Plus I went down to chat with Darrell for a while. Learned a few interesting things talking to him!
Caz, I would put it as a G6. The headband goes VG8, but the rest of the detail looks around 6ish to me. Either way, nice pickup.
Also, I was digging through my halves a while ago, and saw that my 01-O is a Type I hub. Which David Lawrence considered rarer than the Type II in the 01-O's. I would love to see what other people's hub types of the 01-S and 01-O are. Hardly, I have put together 7 sets of Halves, 1 Quarter and 2 Dime sets. I just started another Dime set... based on quite a few from my 1st set that were upgraded by my friend who purchased my set. Now, JOM, who's calling the Kettle black ?
