Cool deal, Thanks for the input, I bought them a few days ago at 16.25x face, it was basically a whole roll of commems, but these were the nicer coins out of the roll. For what I paid, I'll just hang on to them as is.

Leave 'em be. You want these coins graded, buy them graded. Ain't no high premiums associated with these in graded condition. You can get them quite reasonably.......

Probably a 40, but whatever. PCGS doesn't understand that the strike for this marriage was typically poor, and this one is actually quite nice w/ the eagle's eye still being visible. IMO, they mistook the faint strike of the eagle's upper-wing feathers for wear.
Now all I need is the 1814/3 and the major varieties for 1814 are complete! :hail:

Nice. I love the green. Nice steps on it even though it looks like an "experienced" die on that reverse.

The steps are nice but I don't think it would hit 5 steps and I'm looking for a nicer strike reverse.

Nice coins lindedad. Although I wouldn't want to be standing below that eagle. He looks like he is about to "drop a bomb".

Funny - I was going to say that same thing earlier. :) Not the best portrayal of our national bird.

    1841 Large Cent

I've purchased several new coins lately, but this one is my favorite right now. I wish I could take a proper picture to show the beautiful copper color of this coin - it is really wonderful in the right lighting.

How do I know what mint this is from? I can't find a mint mark....

Rassi - in 1841 the only mint was Philadelphia.
