2000 p Massachusetts quarter struck on a dime

    Is this Fake,real or a mint error . this coin weights 5.7 grams , 3 mm thick , diameter 6mm 2000-1.jpg 2000-2.jpg 2000-3.jpg 2000-5.jpg 2000-6.JPG

    That's quite interesting, I had never read of such.

    To the OP and anyone else, think of it this way:
    If the quarter die struck a dime planchet, the complete design would not be depicted.

    Technically, the coins are not "shrinking" as stated, since their mass stays the same. ;)

    By that "technical" definition, new jeans don't "shrink" when you wash them, either. :)

    You're welcome to refer to them as "thickened" or "enprolated", but I think you'll have a hard time getting it to catch on...
