From the info I goggled+ found a UK Maundy collectors site the is 1 step above a fantasy issue by London mint as a Pattern set made in 1956 or 1986 what yr I do not know.but still its sterling silver.but still is not an 1936 Maundy set as one was never made but sets like this. London mint was like the USA old Franklin mint.
There is a 1936 Maundy Set, but it has the portrait of George V because Edward VIII had not been crowned King.
Anyone interested in seeing the US coins labeled with mm's, here it is. Might help to get a little perspective on some of these crazy tiny coins being posted.
The Dutch mint used to make such sets too; that was called a "mini-muntset". Every piece was half the original size; for example, the pre-euro 10 cent coin in such a set had a diameter of 8 mm. See the attached image of two mini-pieces; I put a US dime next to them. Of course those mini-pieces have never been legal tender, but since the mint made and sold them, quite a few people bought them as souvenirs ... Christian
Yup Tony You are 100% right! I over looked it or when I was going thru dates mixed up the date with 1931+1936,its not easy getting old.
