Be careful, I would not bid because it doesn't look like he has a feedback rating. I bought two like this a while back and had a dispute settled in my favor. I would pass on this one. Just my opinion.

Ty UNC but the coin it's self it's a beauty by it's self. plus paypal will hold the money until buyer recieve item. but kinder strange if it's real for that price.

 

It's 100% fake, and if you read the terminology used in the description, you will realize the auction was written by a typical Chinese seller, using someone in UT as a front for selling. Please note that there are multiple quantities of the same coin available. This will be happening more frequently, as eBay, in their infinite wisdom, decided to eliminate the replica category, forcing the "replica" sellers to modify their listings and place them in the "legimate" categories. I guess the CFe Group (eBay's self appointed overseers of all coins, scanning the listings to protects us all from our own stupidity) will be working overtime to eliminate as many as they can.

Possibly... but it doesn't matter now, as the "seller" has ended the listing (eBay didn't pull it, but the seller probably got a warning and opted to end it). I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot more of these type auctions, probably "hit and run" style with a 24 hour listing time.

 

It ended because all 10 were sold not because of e-dump warning him.
No way would I have bought those just based on the written description..

Yep... dispite the "gallant" efforts of eBay (in addition to the latest attempts to modify the HPA), the "Big Tree Coin Factory" is working overtime.

 

I think that they are real; really made in China that is.

 

Problem is, most of them won't realize they got ripped off. Will just be more fakes floating around to be discovered or rip off other people.

 

What if a bunch of us CT members order 1 each, then file a claim with eBay for fakes & get our money back, but get the coin off the market

 

What the buyer gets will a be poor quality fake - night and day compared to the genuine example shown.

 

The key giveaway is the poor translation for the text in the auction body. And the zero feedback. And all the other red flags.

 

Now it's a dam shame to see this.. very new to coin collecting.. and this is what hurts the confidense of collecting coins.. I guess i wil stick to ASE .. because what i have seen in the pass few months.. is the fake of old coins..Morgan's, Peace and what else 1/2 Kennedy 1964 ..thanks for all the input.

 

When something is to good to be true, it usually is. The fact the seller wants payment immediately then states it may take up to three weeks for you to get the coin is a red flag. Stay away, I feel bad for the uneducated buyers buying into this scam.
