I'm in the Atlanta area and I found out that the local coin show is tomorrow and I wanted to know if any one has been there and what it was like.

I am familiar with that coin show. It is a monthly coin show and I have been to it in February and in April of this year. It is a small show (around 30 tables). It can be a "hit or miss" show meaning that you might find what you are looking for or you might not find what you are looking for. From what I have seen, this show usually has a little bit of everything from gold and silver bullion to certain U.S. and world coins. It really depends on what you are looking for. I have had some decent finds at this show in the past. I am only less than 2 hours away from this show and I might decide to go to it tomorrow.

That's nice to know. I only live around 45 minuets away so it's not to far from my. I'm not looking for any thing inprticular. I just thought it would be some thing to do this weekend.

I like going to coin shows. That is a fun thing for me to do and I like being able to find what I am looking for at the right price.

Are you in a coin club? Atlanta has one. Conyers has one also.
The Atlanta one meets two times a month on Saturdays. The one in Conyers meets once a month on the 4th Monday. The Atlanta area has several coin shows each year. Get a Numismatic News paper and you will see the listed shows and clubs sections. If interested let us know.:hail:

I'm not in a coin club at the time and it would be hard for me to go to the on in Conyers (I live in the Johns Creek area.) and I do have school. For the one in Atlanta... Well I could probably do that one.

I did go to this coin show today (monthly Greater Atlanta Area coin show) in Marietta but I did not stay very long since it was a small coin show. I got there about 9:15 AM and left just after 9:30 AM. I came there to find silver art bars and I did find one that I liked and I paid a 50 cents over spot for it. I think there were about 30 tables there. The .999 generic silver bullion was reasonably priced IMO. I did see some gold (1-troy oz and fractionals) but I did not look at prices on those because I concentrated on one thing. They also had other coins there but they did not have any coins that I was interested in buying. This month's show was my third monthly Marietta coin show that I went to in 2012.
