I have quite a few double die coins that I'm interested in posting on ebay. The only problem I'm having is taking the pictures. Trying to use my camera in conjunction with my louse is leaving me with very poor pictures that aren't bringing out the doubling. Any help to fix this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks
If you don't have a good camera with an interchangeable macro lens or a decent stereomicroscope, you will just end up being another FleaBay thread, here................"How does this guy expect anyone to see anything from these photos?" Chris
Very good point. However, I have seen some double dies without the proof pictures to go for some serious cash. And at the same time I was thinking the exact same thing.
Anyone buying coins for serious cash on bad photos is playing Russian Roulette. The other thing you have to keep in mind is that a seller with bad photos may have a very liberal return policy, and most of these returns will never show up adversely in his feedback. Chris

It's ok though Swingkat, most people miss the extra "D" I think if you have well known and documented doubled dies then your pictures don't need to be the greatest, just enough to see that there is the correct doubling. What doubled dies do you have exactly? Are they well known and are you sure they are doubled dies and not another form of doubling that is not as valuable? (Machine doubling for example)
Yeah but potential bidders might be turned off by a listing that says double die. I would take it that if the seller doesn't have the knowledge to use the correct term then they likely aren't real doubled dies.
