Okay, I have all the elements for the full Kennedy set. I have Motts lot, plus the mint 'cello coins, and everything is ready--going to be a busy few days sorting through the duplicates, and putting the nicest coins in the Dansco album, minus the slabbed proofs. From the looks of everything it will be a MS 64-67 set with proofs around PR 66-69. Overall grade of the set will be 65+, and I will have lots of pix as soon as I am finished assembling. Did the whole thing for a reasonable amount of money, and will be using the 7166, with two extra pages for the clad proofs, and the non-slabbed sliver proofs. Will have it for showing on here sometime early next week..:) :) :)

If you put the coins in Dansco book, then if you load all at the same time, then you will not scratch the others later as you load the later ones. The plastic windows do scratch the surfaces of the early installed coins. I know that you want to see all at the same time. The hard plastic boards with screws are more expensive, but when you add later coins you only open and remove the top sheet and add coins and plae the cover back on, no sliding. ;)

The best way to avoid accidentally scratching any coin in a Dansco, is to leave the reverse plastic slide in place, press the coin all the way down to the slide, put the obverse slide in position and then adjust the position of the coin to mid-way in the hole by pressing gently on the reverse slide. This allows you plently of clearance to avoid scratching the coin.

Pix of the raw coins were posted. Lots of work going through the duplicates of the dates to pick out the best. Here are the raw materials:

Oh, he's just busting my cojones grandes. It is all in good fun--will be working on Sunday and Monday to go through 168 coins to get the best in regular issues and clad "S" proofs. Need to get it down to the best 120 or so. Motts' coins had a few surprises--there were some amazing toners, when I expected all Gem BUs. He gave me some lovely gold toned Ks for the price of Gem BUs. So happy about that. The big set has some toners as well. That was a huge plus that I wasn't expecting. Sometimes coins come in better than expected, and that was the case here.

Oh man, I hope you don't plan on mixing up toners with BU coins! I will be a pal and take all the toners off your hands.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing all 168 images on Monday!

That must be the cover page! Greg always has a hard time remembering what comes after "1".

Order a large pepperoni pie and Buffalo wings, and take her out back to the patio.

Killing two birds with one stone ;)
