I cannot draw at all. How about a coin with a puppy dog chewing his bone and the reverse could be a kitty drinking a bowl of milk. What could be

That's great Melonsmash3r!! I would looooove to see the mercury design make a come back, especially back on the dime. No offense to FDR but I'm getting tired of seeing the same design every time I get a dime.

 

Head up, contest will be ending on Thursday of this week. I don't know how many procrastinators we have out there, but I am limited to sixty entries by the poll. We are at 29 entries so far, so there is plenty of room for more. I just wanted to make sure that everyone entry counts.

 

Well, here is my attempt. Not amazing, in particular the lettering and the face are pretty awful lol. The other issue that I wanted to address that I didn't have time to is the larger problem that I feel is creating bad coins. It isn't the images on the coin but the fact that these are being drawn or done on a photoshop style graphics engine. Whereas the classic American coins are all done by sculptors who have a sense of the 3d nature of coins, modern day coins lack that sense of dimension that cannot be expressed in just a drawing. I actually wanted to try and sculpt this, but ran out of time and lost my clay so you have to settle for this lol. Be gentle I'm definitely not an artist





Maybe I will sculpt it later if I can find the clay lol

I wanted to vote for myself because I dont have a morgan yet, but I thought Angelkitty's coin looks the best. Should've got my sister to draw one for me, she is a anime/manga artist person. Oh well, there still is last place! Don't have a proof yet....
