    Hello everybody!

I'm wondering about authenticity of this coin... Well, what I can tell is that all pre-1866 Seated Dollars didn't have a motto or the scroll on the reverse. So, it passes this fact. )
I know about the poor quality of pictures... but this is what I have... What do you think about it?

Agreed... that's one BAD fake. Must be an older one, as the Chinese have improved the quality of the current crop.

I concur. This is a modern counterfeit with little doubt.

Thank you once again for help. With my experience now I couldn't recognize the counterfeit. Well, will keep looking then!

If you have time what do you think about this Trade Dollar coin? The edge at 9:30 on obverse looks strange..

All RAW trade dollars should be considered to be fake until you know enough that you don't have to ask for help. One of the most often counterfeited coins that is out there.
Buy them in a certified slab only.

BTW real or fake pass on that coin it has funky surfaces some kind of cleaning or worse been done to it.

Yes as lindedad said most are faked that are not in some sort of case. The trade dollar long with the Morgan are the most faked. And may I ask how much you spent on it?
