Error? Deterioration?

    Hello,
    Found this 1989 Kennedy in a roll. The bottom of the reverse has this area missing. Would this be die deterioration?

    Almost looks like a strike-through, IMHO.

    See how the lettering is visible over the area-in-question?

    I know the photos are deceiving, but I believe the area is recessed - not elevated.

    Notice how the OP mentions how the area is "missing".

    Yep, I missed the part about missing. If there's something missing then it's not a cud and it might be a strike through..
