What Would You Grade This Large Cent?

Not sure how to grade these, nice details on the face/hair.
Looks like some damage to the front.

I would grade it vf30/xf40 details. damaged.

 

VF Details, Damaged/surface corrosion.

 

The pitting leads me to believe it is a counterfeit.

 

Or more likely, a dug up coin.

 

VF 35 details

 

TPG GRADE: AU details, corroded/damaged.
EAC GRADE: XF 45, Skudzy, NET 15

I grade it eighteen dollars.

How does natural corrosion produce circular pits like that? They look to my eye like the kind of bubbles you'd get from a cast copy.

 

I pretty much agree with Leadfoot except the DELIBERATE damage to the left of the date would cause me to net it lower at VG 10.

 

Excellent question! I didn't mean the large circle. I agree that's PMD. Here are a few dug coins I have, one with similar corrosion. I am certain they are genuine.
