    Lousy day.
    $2 pennies, 32 copper.
    $12 nickles, one Canadian, a 40P, 41P.
    $10 dimes, skunked.
    $50 dollars, skunked.
$250 quarters, skunked. Not even hole filler ATB Ps I need. A couple of months or so, I was in the long line at the bank, ended up buying a s***load of coin rolls from a guy who was taking them in to deposit. From Grandma, all silver/wheats etc. I saw him today. Again, there was a long line. I joked with him that if he had more coins, I'd save us the time again. Alas, he said the load I got from him before was all he had had. So not only was I skunked, I had to wait in a line to be skunked.

Box of halves - single '68
Teller had a bunch (about $5 worth) of silver quarters. She said that most were spoken for (I think the branch manager wanted them), but she held onto $2 for me. Awfully nice of her.

I didn't find any silver but wanted to mention that I think I've located a coin machine that is regularly blocked. Last week I pulled a SBA proof from it. Yesterday was a foreign field day with coins from France, Bolivia, Brazil, The Bahamas, Germany and Canada. There were also 2 surprises...

Best part is that when the teller changed the bags and put the machine back together, she ended up blocking the slot again! I hope that bad boy can hold out and load up til I return next weekend!

    I'm on fire this weekend
    $200 in dimes = 2 x Roosie
That's 5 silvers out of my last $700 searched
I'm being a little sarcastic because my month has been dismal. Still happy with my finds.

Maybe burning the wrappers last weekend worked

Looks like I'm gonna have to change up that "oldest coin from CRH" again! I don't think I'll be beating it anytime soon either!

That is insane. A big congrats to you. That's what I would say is just about the best thing you could find. How'd the edge look? Easy to pick out?

Lon: Thanks! It was incredibly easy to spot. As soon as I opened the roll, I thought "I've never seen a coin edge THAT color before...what's that?!?!!"

Sunday, no banks. But I did find a roll of quarters behind the dresser, I didn't realize it fell back there. So I checked it to be sure.

    ALL SILVER!!!

So it had to have been from the load I got from the guy in line at the bank who was cashing in coins for Grandma.

    Rarest a 37S, the rest 40s and 50s including several duplicates, plus a 62D, 63D (2 of those)

Sort of feel guilty getting all those coins for face value from an old lady....But then when I think about it, if they can't be bothered to check their coins, tough.

What an awesome find! This coin has always been in the back of my mind when roll searching, but I never expected anyone to find one. How does that slip into the coin counter?
