I went to a flea market today as usual and bought some morgans. They are common dates but in almost AU condition. They are very nice. I got a 1900 and 1891 for 25 each. Did I get a good deal? I tested and they are real. Please thanks.
I will get pics up soon. Whats funny is that I bought the same coin last week for 35 and today for 25 haha
Not a great deal, but OK (especially compared to eBay, where these are selling for around $35 in AU)... still, about $4.40 over melt value.
Like I said, silver is trending down, and has been for awhile. Wait a few more weeks and you may be able to buy them for $20.00.
Flea markets are sometimes bad...here in California. I will bring a magnet to make sure that I'm not buying a fake voin.
$25 on up seems to be the going rate. Dumb if you ask me. I can buy dimes, quarters, and halves all day long for a tad over melt, yet people will pay almost 5 dollars over melt each time. Sure it's a silver dollar, but it's not like it's the last one, there are thousands of them in good condition, because many sat in bags for decades. I don't really get the premium for them.
I do bring a magnet. But hey. 50 for two and i get maybe around 70 selling on ebay. It s ok. What kind of coins should I look for that I can get possibly cheaper than the morgans?
