I've been selling on eBay for sometime now and have been putting large photos in the description using HTML. I had little to no trouble at first but as the mass quantity of my items started to grow I noticed sometimes the pictures wouldn't pop up. After many an emails I discovered if I revised the item and submitted the revisions (which were none) they tend to corporate much better. 9 times out of 10 though within a day they go back to big blank empty boxes. Not that the pictures are of dire importance because I upload the same pictures through eBay. I really like how it makes the listings look though but the time I spend trying to make them work and answering emails is taking far too much of my day. So for all you HTML gurus out there.... Any advice? Thanks in advance for all replies... Hopefully, someone can point me in the right direction before my fist flies through my monitor teehee!
try to use other image hosting service I use this one because of its simple design http://postimage.org/my.php dropped photobucket cause it ate too much processor resources.
I use a "pay" image hosting service (iPage). That avoids all the excess baggage associated with the freebies. Plus I get my own domain name.
One other thought. Try reducing the images to 800X and try 600X next. Ebay can have problems with this. Forgot to say. You do some great images.
Their new "request" is that the pictures be at least 1600 on one side and at least 90 quality. They have gone to larger pictures.
I would say it's a problem with your image hosting service. Maybe try photobucket.com and see if that works better. I looked through the HTML source for one of the pages in your store that has those blank boxes you're talking about and I don't see any error in your tag for the photos.
I paid flickr to do my image hosting. I liked it because it has the rights to prevent others from stealing my photos. Although, I have seen a few listing with my pictures that are not my items... Who knows. I have tried the largest and medium. I appreciate all your help and compliments ~D
