Looks like they're either branching out on how to sell their replicas or making these cheapo watches with a center that just looks like a coin. There is no mention in the description that there is a coin there.

I'm wondering if it's just a decal in the center.

They DO make coin watches, with real silver coins, but they are not cheap.

I'm thinking it could very well just be that, or a pressed foil center.

In 1999 I used to wear a watch with face made from the Connecticut state quarter. I also had one with the Rhode Island quarter. They were inexpensive (and cheaply made). The Rhode Island watch that had been assembled with the coin 180-degrees out of alignment. When the minute hand & hour hand aligned for 12:00, the watch face showed 6:00 on the coin. Therefore, no matter how you set the watch (unless you read it upsidedown & disregarded the printed numbers) the hour hand never ligned up perfectly between the hour marks to correspond with the position of the minute hand. Like I said, they were cheaply made.

I think the Connecticut & Rhode Island quarter watches used clad coins. The watches sold for something like $19.95.

I've seen watches made from double eagles.

I guess they've figured out what to do with their rejected counterfeit coins? Waste nothing :p

That's because it's coming from Kow Loon.

Had it been from Hong Kong, or Beijing, it would've been less.

That watch would confuse me to no end because the stars don't line up with the hours. :(

It looks nice but what kind of watch only costs 4.99? Probably not the best quality.

There's no debating that and I wouldn't say it's probably not the best quality, I'd say there's ZERO quality. $15.00 shipping price as well.. Anyone willing to buy this thing deserves to lose their money. ;)

AND no tracking number on shipment. How many orders will NOT be shipped in hopes that the buyers will lose interest in recouping their money ?

I'm surprised nobody pointed out that the coin image is a quarter eagle, not a capped bust half, as described.
