    1968-70 business strike nickels were made in San Francisco too.

    You were right that proof coins after '75 are San Fran.

    Yes they WILL almost always stand out.

    Most AFTER 1972 have dull/frosty devices. Between 68 and 72 frosted devices are hit and miss.

    Except the 1999 SBA which was struck in Philadelphia with a P mintmark.
