It's amazing what you can recognize/deduce from a small detail on a coin. I'll bet several Morgan enthusiasts would recognize this coin & be able to tell you the date just by noticing the over polished nostril & other details. :rollling:

I'm also really late to this thread. I really enjoy these; thanks for putting it together. A few years back on ebay's coin board, Dave Dempsey used to post similar "detail" challenges—and he would alter the color of the coins (sometimes realistically, such as silver to gold; sometimes unrealistically, such as green) for added difficulty. He had us scouring the Red Book.
