You wouldn't be a stranger at that point...I'm a free speech kind of guy, it's hard for me to walk the line at a site where the rule is if it was ok on 50's tv it's ok. "to the moon Alice" is a line about punching a female, there was many racist and sexist things on 50's television.

Guano - this is not aimed directly at you but since you put it out there, lets keep it real and clear. This site does have many YN's and it is not within the rules for people to come in hear and think they have the right to educate underage members in the ways of the world. What people do in their home is their business, but this site is our home - so our rules. If it's not about coins/currency, keep it out of the coin/currency section!

The intent as written is clear enough. People that cannot walk the line will not last long. Free speech here is permitted within the rules, people that break the rules are banned and can practice free speech somewhere else. Some people think this is funny or want to push the limits or just have never grown up. For those people that do not take Doug's warning seriously, none of us have an issue saying good bye and good luck!

No more discussions about what legal or illegal drugs you take or prefer!!! Again - if it's not about coins or currency, take it somewhere else.

Giggling once again.. amazing! Never seen this type of comment from administration anywhere. I just read the last 2 pages and didn't see anyone saying they didn't like this forum or it rules? Did I miss the needle in the haystack? Maybe you should have to?

Hope I'm not breaking a rule by quoting a post that was not directed to me.

FWIW I'd like to think that I can match/surpass my forum experience against anyone. I go back to Compuserve and AOL 1.0 (coin forums are the newest - no! Recently joined a Parrot Forum to learn about whether empathy exhibited by my Amazon is typical) I am a huge advocate of this type of modern social interaction for learning in general. I think I also have a deep understanding (and complacency) of the psychology/content/tone behind many posts but, this one confuses me - NO! it amuses me!

 

I like the forum just fine, doesn't mean I won't point out hypocrisy and ignorance when I see it in a way that isn't a personal attack and within the rules that aren't very definded. To my generation 50's tv is racist, sexist and homophobic, we're not blinded by nostalgia, to make such a broad rule like that is very poor administration..I'll leave this site when I feel like it, if you don't like my post why don't you just skip right past them and only worrie about me if there's a mod alert.
