That's thething, right? Ultimately it is about the price and the grade greately factors into the price.

If PCGS or NGC graded that same coin MS66, and no FBL(75% or otherwise), the value would be around $325. However, there's been several in PCGS slabs, that have sold for under $250, and the lowest one sold for was $142.50.

 

there seems to be a wide range of late of coins graded at the same grade. I think the interent purchaser is getting more sophisticated and bidding up extra good examples.

 

Or they're subscribing to small services, such as SEGS; and some dealers excepting SEGS as comparable to PCGS or NGC, and trying to force the market.

 

Actually, I don't particularly like Larry Briggs coins. Certainly not compared to David Kahn. My opinion is worthless on these matters, but I still have them.
