Stopped in at a Wells next to the grocery store. Bought $2 in halves, 1 40%, nice. The teller said that another teller had a bunch of halves and would be back in 5 minutes. I waited. She had $72 worth. "You are lucky. A lady just brought these in today". Let's call them BWE (bank wrapped envelopes), the teller had put them into envelopes of $20 each.

Total take: 9 40%, 1 90%. Not huge, but a very LUCKY and satisfying win.

Two boxes of halves: two 87 D in the first, nothing in the second. The source for these boxes hasn't produced anything in a long time.
Forgot to mention $1 loose halves from yesterday: nothing

Visiting family out of town. Bank across the street from my sister's neighborhood. We were getting gas so I walked over to the bank to see if they had any halves. Of course she said no but as I was walking out she hollared wait a second. I think we may have a box in the vault of $500 I can open for you. I told her I would take the whole box if that was ok.

    3 boxes of halves... skunk

BUT! while I was in picking up a box from the PNC I got into a conversation with the manager, and...
she offered me a position as a bank teller!!
It has to pay better than my current cashier job of minimum wage... and she even said I will get to look through coins during work! :D!

Well so far I am up with... well, not much.
Did $140 BWR/CWR Dimes and came up $0.50 cents and a 2009-P Dime
$70 Nickels let out three hole fillers and 8 pre-1960s.

Am I happy? Yes, I came up right?
Am I satisfied? Nope. Want silver.

Two more boxes of halves, both a little unusual:
Box 1: Another '87! This one was a P. There were also about seven rolls' worth of bright and shiny 1998 D's.
Box 2: Two more 87's! Both a P and a D. That's five 87's today, from two different sources! Also a few rolls' worth of the best-looking common dates I've ever seen, as well as a few rolls' worth of NIFC's and proofs. It also had today's only silver, a lone 40%er.

So I saw AggieCollectors "Top 10" scores going back over 3 years and decide to do my own "Top Ten". Now this is ONLY from roll searching, no garage sale finds or what not. These are all from $500
boxes of halves which I only get once a week. Also I have only been roll searching for 6 months so its not all hundreds of dollars, infact, it might bore you but hopefully this will make others want to do a Top Ten! Its fun!

I was all pumped up for my two dime boxes I was getting today. When I brought them to the car I opened up the boxes and saw that evil orange edges. Every single one is a 2012 :( I can't get more boxes until Thursday. Made my silver dime average drop after I entered these two. When you guys get boxes like these, do you enter them in your spreadsheet?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If I can find another box to swap them out or find a way to offload them before I get home, then no.

So I knew my luck from last week was going to wear off... yesterday I was driving along and a golf ball or a rock hit my windshield, causing a HUGE 2-3 food diameter spider web of cracks. To top it all off, when I'm getting out of the car to check I accidentally drop my phone and break that too. So total cost to replace everything is around $375 :(

AND the silver proof set I ordered from the mint has a gash on the kennedy half, so I have to send that back to be replaced as well.

Thankfully I picked up 2 boxes of halves, 2 boxes of dimes, and a box of nickels for the weekend. Here's hoping my luck this week turns around.
