Scratched off another date off my list of Morgan dollars. Though its not a key date I really like the way the coin looks. And just for fun lets see how others would grade the coin.

MS63/MS64? Can you get pictures in better lighting situations?

Agreed! Very minimal bag marks. I wouldn't be surprised if it went 65.

I'd say either a 64 or possibly a 65. The photo on the obverse isn't as clear as the reverse. Reverse is beautiful. Obverse is less clear.

I like it. I would probably call it an MS64. Very clean coin with an average to better strike for that year.

I think that issue with the denticles below "18" is a scratch on the slab or lighting. If that is actually a large hit there, I don't think it's a 64.

I love the hue of this piece.

Here are some more pics. Its not that easy to take pictures of coins in slabs.

Pictures are too dark for me, but I will go with 63.

PS - Looks like a nice coin.

I stand with 64. Bag marks on cheek bring it down from the lofty heights. Reverse is very nice, and had the obverse been cleaner, it would have been 65. Nice coin, with eye appeal galore.

I'm going to stick with MS64...and that issue with the denticles was an issue in the first pic. That area of the coin looks fine.

There's enough contact chatter on the obverse to make this an improbable 64, imo. 63.

Ok, one last attempt since my photography skills suck.

The scanner did a pretty good job. I'm going to post the grade when I get home later tonight.

Fields look pretty clean (other than toning) w/ beautiful satin (especially on the reverse). Some bag marks on the obverse but it doesn't look like any of them are heavy (deep, etc...). I believe it's MS64, possibly PL with the new scanner picture. However I wouldn't be surprised if it was MS65 because of how clean the reverse is.

100$% guarantee that it is NOT proof like, given how tight those standards have
become. It is a likely 64, with a shot at 65.
