1900 Indian Head penny on foreign planchet? Looking for a value??

    The weight is off by almost a full gram as you can see, also diameter is a few hairs smaller as well. Value if any???

    How would one know for sure its a foreign planchet or undersized? Is there a big difference? Thanks!!!!

    Looks like it was treated with acid, which would reduce it's weight some.

    I agree with those that said acid . this coin has been dissolved some in acid or lost underground for a long time and corroded away , then found and the corrosion cleaned off.

    Is anyone out there sick and tired of seeing acid treated coins posted on the various forums? Whoever "invented" this post mint damage type should be put in jail. Sorry....just venting a little.
