not to mention it is a 73 and that means that it came from a Mint Set and NOT a Mint bag.

Let's face it, 73 Ikes in 64 and up are all scarce. Even more so in 65 and up.

For a coin to grade at that lofty level, you've got to have a coin with much better eye appeal. It has to be a monster looking coin for a 66.

Yes. This is why I believe it will make 65; this coin is tough even in nice attractive MS-63. "Eye appeal" seems to be high because of the vaguely PL surfaces.

It's hard to tell from a picture so opinion will vary more.

Unfortunately Ikes are tough to grade unless you have the coin in hand, because what really matters like mikenoodle was saying is how smooth the surface is. I would say i would be comfortable buying this coin in a MS65 holder because it looks way nicer than any of my other PCGS 65 Ikes which i have a good number for comparison. Some of my other 65s have way bigger dings and in some cases some pretty serious dings. I dont think i would spend the crazy premium for a ms66 on this particular coin there are, like mike said monsters out there. Just a personal opinion PCGS or any other TPG could be wildly different.
