We should start this thread up again, based off of Lehigh's rules in his OP.

BTW, does anyone else find it strange how there's only 2 likes in over 140 pages (2100 total) worth of posts?

Maybe a bit off-topic, but. . . Unless you're buying a professionally graded toner, BUYER BEWARE!!!!. Given the premiums paid, there's a bunch of fake toners out there.

Some joker on ebay (who I called on the authenticity of his "toned" coins) now has a disclaimer buried at the bottom of his listings. According to his disclaimer, his coins have been artificially toned by subjecting them to some sort of electric field or current. Anything to make a buck.

By the way, I learned my lesson the hard way!!!!

Looks like an easy 67 to me. Luster and toning are incredible!

I'll guess $20. I can see that coin being sold unnoticed.

Brown box Ike toners are more common but Peacock toners are my favorite toning pattern. They just cost a little more so if you see one be sure to snap it up! I have seen graded examples similar to mine with just rim toning in the $500 range on the bay but of course they were PCGS graded. The coin i have set me back I think somewhere close to $90, steal IMHO?

Not at all, but that's because the Like button didn't exist for most of the life of this thread.

It most certainly didn't go unnoticed! As a matter of fact, I bid on it too........

With toning and cameo, I would go with $150-$175

That is a big premium for an unstable circumstance.
