Nice boxes Chester! And pballer, nice score on the loosies!

Today got a late start and the banks were packed, so I didn't hit as many spots as I wanted. Also my best pickup bank got dumped on so I'm working my way through it.

    $12 loose halves: nil
$30 BWR halves: nil, suspect they were rewrapped with A crumpet
$130 CWR halves: The teller said they were sitting there forever, but in the first roll I opened was a 2011 P. Still got three 40%ers.
    $300 rewrapped halves: nil
    $2 loose Ikes: nil
$14 loose small dollars: nothing of interest

(Sorry if there are any typos in this, I'm posting from my phone.)

Wow, not quite up to the same standard as the 70 40%'ers above, but a $413 bag of dimes gave up 2x '64 roosies and a '57 roosie...

Nice finds Chester, took me nearly three years to catch a box like that.

    Today started off fantastic... $35.50 from a bank I haven't been to in a couple months produced 2 40%'ers in the $5.50 loose, and 9 (!) '64's in the $30 rolled. :D

Rest of the day tallied out with $1800 in halves searched, and only 2 40%ers to show for it... Dime-wise, $1250 total, 1 merc, 7 roosies.

Found out the Wells Fargo right near my apartment offers bag service for account holders! Time to open an account.

I thought I had spotted some silver today. I was at the bank....they put coins in those rack things where you can see the edge. I saw what looked like 2 silver quarters, there were only 8 quarters in the rack , so I asked for $2 in quarters......Canadian , non silver

    Interesting bank run today.

    box 1 dimes - zilch
    $230 BWR dimes - '59D, '60
box 2 dimes - a '73 cinco centavos and some Canadian dude named George from 1950 decided to pop up for a visit! (my oldest Canadian so far)

    Hey gang,

Ran across a neighborhood garage sale today with about 15 garage sales. One of the houses had some coins for sale....

    38DObv.JPG 38DRev.JPG

That would be not one but TWO 1938D Walker Halves for $10 each!!!!!! It is hard to tell from the pics but one of them is between F12-VF20 the other one has a tiny pinhole and rim damage but I don't care. Definitely a hole filler. I never thought I would find one much less two.

    :eek::eek:

That's it. I went past 3 yard sales today in the midst of my bank runs. Next time I'm stopping the freakin car! Nicely done!

I am happy to get the walkers but he said he had some silver eagles but they had sold as soon as the garage sale opened this morning. I casually asked what he had sold them for and he said $15 each...sigh.

    Did 6 boxes of nickels.

    7 War nickels
    3 buffalo (2 dateless and a 1937)
    1 1939 S
    1985 S

and this 1941 D. It is in really nice shape with full (or nearly full) steps. It looks like there may be a break between the 2nd and 3rd column, but it seems like it looks better under a magnifying glass than in the pic. Anyone have an opinion as to grade? I have been looking at it for a while, but would appreciate input from fresh sets of eyes...

I never have any luck at yard sales. I still stop at every one I see, though.

The knick will hold it back from FS. Tough to grade, looks overexposed... I'd speculate 64ish.

Yesterday, box of dimes, 1 roosie, 2x boxes of nicks, 3 wars.

Awesome halves Erin. Definitely going to have to check out some of the garage sales around my area. Seems like everyone has been having one lately. Never know what you are going to find.
