I am trying to put a grade on this seated quarter but I am not sure what grade it should be. I am also trying to figure out the actual value of it . Any ideas?

  3. It looks like a problem coin with those pictures, but I would say in the high VG low F range.

I think the picture got messed up. I am going to try the obverse again. I don't see any problems with it like dents, scratches, or cleaned although it appears that many coins are "problem" coins when you get them this old.

  5. Well, what I am considering a problem is the lack of obverse detail from about 5 o'clock to about 9 o'clock on the obverse,

Here is another picture of the obverse. It might have got a little warped. I did notice this coin is in the wrong sized holder and need to get a quarter air-tight. The "coin expert" at the local precious metal shop sold me dime holders when I asked for quarter holders.

Yes the obverse does have wear and details worn but the liberty is the most visible, that is what trips me up when grading since it seems the shield wears first in most coins I have seen. I think you are right though, I am getting higher VG or almost F too. Someone said VG before but notice that some in the VG range are more worn than this coin and don't have as much detail. I think you are right though, it may be at the bottom of the F range. When I think of problems though I usually associate that with someone trying to make it white-faced, a large scratch, a hole, or if it is bent. I like it but was wondering about the grade and value.
