    Merc Crazy Bumbling numismatic fool

    Thanks guys.

    Box of dimes; 1 '59.
Box of nickels; 5 wars (ties 2nd best box I've ever had for silver)
Box of cents; Corroded 1888 IHC, 2x '98 WAM, one MS64RD, 1x '99 WAM (AU50 or so, #3 for me.) and a dozen or so wheats.

Forgot to add, I found my 10th '72 T2 last week while I was on a CT Vacation.

For dimes it's about the same BWR vs. CWR
For Halves I would have to say CWR, but I rarely find them so I have to resort to boxes.

My last $18,000 in halves (36 boxes) I have found 32 silvers. Not happy about that 0.889 avg per box. What's more depressing is the numbers from local go to banks. $14,000 (28 boxes) for 18 silvers. 0.643 per box avg.

    Awesome finds guys/gals!

I'm new to numismatics (bullion collector) and this thread has inspired me to dig through the 5 jars of change I have at home and I will be picking ups some rolls next time I go to the bank.

Blah, both of my banks forgot to order my halves this week :(

Luckily the tellers at both banks were pretty apologetic, and now they'll be ordering me 2 boxes each for next week, so it'll even out. To compensate I got 2 extra boxes of dimes this week, although I'm not expecting any more crazy dime finds.

Started With A Bang, Ended with a Blah ....

Monday couldn't have gone better - 1 merc and 2 proof Roosie's in one roll of dimes. In total, went thru 10 rolls of dimes Monday, and just ended up with those 3 coins, but still a very nice strike.

As for the rest of the week:

Tuesday - 14 rolls of dimes - skunk

    Friday - $200 in halves - skunk
Friday - 10 rolls of dimes - skunk
Friday - 4 rolls of quarters - skunk
    Friday 4 rolls of pennies - 1 wheat and 1 1960 D Doubled Die

I hauled Friday's coins a mile and a quarter on foot (17.5 lbs worth of coins according to my scale). At least I got in a decent workout!! :)

Those are awesome machines. Good luck! How much did you get it for? I'm just curious as that's been on my short list along with and E-Trac. Trying to decide between the 2 of them to tell you the truth. Good luck and HH, I'm sure you will have a blast with your new Whites!

    Finally Hit a BIG ONE!!!!

    Grabbed 4 boxes today:

    Box 1: 1 40%er
    Box 2: skunk
    Box 3: 43 40%ers!!!!
    Box 4: 26 40%ers!!!!

Grand total of 70 40% havles! My biggest score since I started doing this in April of 2011. It was awesome opening these. Some rolls contained 4 silvers in them!
