Salty, how difficult do you find acquiring these notes to be? I've seen them here and there, but never in high quality condition. I also like the designs of the old Philippine currency, yet haven't collected any of them. Just VICTORY notes in my collection.

Matt, there is an upcoming Lynn Knight Auction featuring the Dr. Greg Pineda Philippine Collection June 14th-19th at the Memphis IPMS ....I hear his collection is epic.

The enviornment of the Philippines is not kind to it's currency. The humidity is excessive. You see a lot of staining and spotting on the paper currency. Fortunately some notes have survived this, but demand for them is competitive. You can find them in the fifty point range on a regular basis, but at sixty and up, they are indeed hard to find.

I got this $100 star note yesterday at the bank. It's in pretty good shape, just a couple of slight folds. The 1935A I have had for a little while now. I love it and it is in really good shape. No creases or folds at all in it.

Here's one that's been a long time coming for me... it's pretty rare that I get a French note at all. 10,000F (old francs, of course!) Education note from 1955.

Here are a few new additions I picked up at a stamp show. You never know what a dealer might have unless you ask. I picked up the 50¢ food stamp for $5 (crisp unc.) and all four MPCs for another $5 (not crisp or unc.). Seemed like a good deal to me!

Does anyone know how to estimate the secondary market value on food stamps? There's no catalog or website I'm aware of. I'd love to see some images of different denominations.

Steve, I can't believe you were the only one to mention this auction on this forum. The collection was indeed epic, though I spent my entire budget on his US Philippine coinage.

It's been 12 days since I received a new note. I was experiencing withdrawal symptoms.
