HEY! Don't blame me. I don't make these up. That is entirely up to PCGS and NGC.

Looks like soft mushy strike on the obverse. :) I dropped it to 65 because of that and the hits. I guess I will find out later.

MS65 RD, weak strike and the hits on Lincoln downgrade it from 66

    65 or a 66 , don't see PCGS giving a 66 with all those hits though .

But Dick , you could have MS-67 days and MS-66 days heck we'd all have perfect scores . lol : )

Not sure if the majority of the scratches are on the coin or the slab. I am going to go out on a limb and say 65 even though I see a 64 there. 65 because I think the slab has seen a few days.

My first take of this coin was there is no way this made 66. Strike and luster are there particularly on the reverse. But then there are those nicks. I don't know why, but those nicks do not shine (show up) like they do on most coins. If you don't see the nicks, I easily understand the 66 PCGS gave it.

    I agree, it's barely a 66 but too nice for a 5 IMO.

    66 surprises me a tad.
Just a lot of contact marks...
