Well, at least you're/we're not on Facebook 8 hours a day like half of my co-workers seem to be!

 

Usually people are fighting like demons to keep from being suspended. besides, get a mod with a bad sardine filled doughnut and it might be for a long time.

 

In the years that I have been here, I learned that Doug has a "low key" attitude, in the best sense of the term, when it comes to such issues. When he write an announcement like that, a few things must have gone wrong lately here ...

You know this thread went from serious information to inane chatter then back to serious again. Will those who don't take this problem
of name calling and direct their comments to the individual poster serious just cease and desist. This hurts CoinTalk and
everyone who loves collecting coins and currency. We have a great reputation which took many years to establish.
Please don't ruin it.

Zeke, I hope you have noticed a reduction in "static" in the last few days. The number of complaints to mods have decreased, editing of posts for rule violations has decreased, several people ( and I could say who, but I respect their privacy) , have considerably tempered their tone and relations to each other ( and I am impressed). The problem wasn't so much breaking of rules ( IMO) as we can readily deal with that, it was the attitude that several had taken to each other. The reasons varied I am sure, but hopefully the change for the good continues. The forum have many , many, good and considerate members, but it only takes a few to change the "flavor" of the site.

Which stamp forums are these?

The stamp forums I go to are slow as molasses!
I must be missing the rowdy ones!

The coin forums I go to look like "the shootout at the OK Corral" compared to the stamp forums I go to.

It's not like I can't make a new handle and if you block my IP I'll just use a proxie to get right around it, I don't give any value to any of my handles on the Internet that way thin skinned power tripping mods never have any power over me. When you ban me make it so I can still read the bullion forum please.
