Okay - in the group of 9 IHC's 2 are not cac certified. In the two cent combo picture only the 1864 LM is not CAC certified. I was too lazy to edit them out.

I don't think that is possible.

Just in case the OP wasn't aware (though in his short time here I'm sure he is), Ruben has been carrying on a one man campaign against CAC since its inception, lol.

Oh, I figured that out the day I joined here. As a 40+ year collector, I respectfully disagree. Most CAC coins are gorgeous, and sell/resell with a well-deserved premium. I respect his collector's expertise, but don't share his views on CAC. :) :) Ruben is a top-notch grader, and I am an average grader. My biggest skill in collecting is cherry-picking, and we all have our expertise. However, CAC and high-end slab coins are not only "pretty," but are superior from investment standpoints, as most are well aware (that should be an issue if one intends to resell, or leave a collection to family as a legacy).

I only have one. I didn't get it because of the green bean, but it was an added bonus. And I'm not removing it because that would be stupidity.

Yeah, I do know about older green holders. Had a whole load in collection #3 that I sold years ago. I have about 7 of them now, and I love the coins. Probably a bit under graded, and really nice. :) :) Thanks about the Frankie--I have wanted that coin for years with loads of eye appeal, and got it last month. :)

Your two commemorative half dollars would look nice in the "post a toned hald dollar" thread. :D Nice coins.

I got this one with the sticker already on the slab. It's not super-special but it's a nice coin.

Did you pay 20% extra for it?

I have never paid extra for the CAC designation. I've paid what I would normally have paid for the coin in appropriate grade.

GORGEOUS! Coins I would buy if I collected dimes. Guess CAC isn't all smoke and mirrors! :) :)

    No

The answer is no. I just checked my January 6 2012 CDN and looked-up the BID and the ASK price. I paid $5 over the January 6, 2012 BID price at the Fun show. That equates to $55 below the CDN ASK price.
