Only box (a box of halves) I'm doing this weekend was a skunk. Boo!

That killer box yesterday put me over 300 silver halves on the year. 293 40%ers, and 54 90%'ers.

2 boxes of halves, both skunkers
That's 5 in a row and puts me at less than 1 per box avg over the past 2 months.

The other day, a dozen or so rolls of quarters. Two I needed. America the Beautiful New Mexico, D. And ATB Puerto Rico, P.
Unusual to get the P before I get the D, as here in Los Angeles, the Ds are the usual firsts. Only the third time I've ever had this happen.

I am CONVINCED all the banks in my small area know to look for silver now. The last silver half I found was a 1967 and it was found in $1.50 loose. The lady hands them over, checking them as she does and goes "Oh! A 1967!" and I go "Oh that is great! I need that for my collection!" and she goes "I bet you do...perfect" in a sarcastic tone. Also, since I have started searching halves I have only found $2.50 face. Granted I don't do boxes because I don't have the funds, you would think more would have surfaced by now.

Anyways, congrats to ALL on your awesome finds!

error obv..jpg errorr rev..jpg DSC_0582-1.jpg DSC_0579-1.jpg I found this roll searching awhile back ,I took it to my coin shop and they said it was a die break . I think its cool and the first that Ive found CRH.

carver obv.jpg seq rev.jpg Also , I traded a roll of 40%'s + a little cash towards these commem's . I'm happy trading 40%'s for AU/BU commem's because these you're typically not going to find CRH (in higher grades) .(I posted these pics awhile back in the "aquisitions" thread but I thought I'd share my purchase with you guys to see if anyone else trades "junk" silver they find for coins with more numismatic value rather than intrinsic.)

Same here, and I"m not even in a small town. It seems most tellers know about silver these days.
