Looked through 100 $1 today... nothing but a where's george and one with four 4's in a row. Change from the grocery later in the day, got a $1 star that's well circulated.

    This week I went through 1,500 singles and the highlights include: several stars mostly from the K district, 1985 E-D, 1988A J-C, L-D and L-Y, 1995 B-Bx2 (both of which came from different sources), E-B, E-P, G-D, I-K, J-M and a L-J.

Only had time to go through 1 strap of 100 $1's, today, and my finds consist of:

    1995 JM
    1995 JJ
    1995 BX
    2001 DD

Kind of meh, but the '95 BX is pretty cool. I like finding those high block letters.

I also got a very, very nice (probably XF+) 1996 AJ-A $50 from my bank, today. Will probably spend it, though, because I don't save anything higher than $20's. Its hard for me to justify sitting on the high face value.

Picked up all the $2 notes that my local TD had in their mutilated/returns bag.
And got two replacements out of the 42 I got. (am liking that percentage)

For all the foreigners ;) on the board.
The $2 note was removed from circulation in 1996 and all but two of the notes were from the previous 1974-1985 series. So its quite rare to find so many, especially the older ones.

A 295 note is where the back plate in the bottom right hand corner is the size of a DC plate, but it was printed in FW which are supposed to be larger plates. That's the best I way I know how to explain it; maybe someone a bit more savy would care to explain it in further detail.

I don't know what your collecting interests are but I recommend searching more than one strap of notes at a time. Buy and go through 500 or 1,000 singles on a frequent basis and you will start having some good finds. This is what I found this week, a crisp and high-grade $1 1988A G-*. It has the highest serial number that I have ever found on a star note before.

That would be the highest I have seen before as well. Good for you!:D

I know that more volume will help... not much extra cash to work with right now. I mostly search coins. I did pick up two 1963 $2 today. In good condition. They've been folded but are fairly crisp.

I lied! I was going through my collection today and noticed this:
    CHCU $1 1988A $1 L-* S/N L22159367*. I purchased it from Harvey's Money Store like 3 years ago.

    How is it identified?
