The women who help me when I go to my SDB (Once every couple weeks) never touch it, they let me haul it out, haha. Apparently $350 in change is kind of heavy.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

"OWNING" money at another bank would never stop you from opening an account. You must mean that you "OWE" money to another bank? Owing $50 sounds like you've got some unpaid overdraft fees there, big spender.

That's all I have, a bunch of change. Well, some of the change is Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Persian, and some is just WL halves and the like, but all of it is just spare change. :)

You don't trust this bank you had late fees in another bank? , besides why not pay off that $50 your credit history is going to take a hit otherwise.

Its not late fees. I don't even know what it is. But thats besides the point. They are so intertwined that they can not be trusted.

That's because if they handle it they leave themselves open to a claim of liability if you say something is missing. Often the bank worker will unlock their key and leave the vault before you remove the box. It provided privacy for the customer, and protects the bank from claims because they never touched the box or even saw the contents.

This. They will never touch the box due to lawsuit risk. I had to go help my mother with hers when she wanted in it since she could never get a bank worker to help her carry it.

With the weight of mine, I need to be careful and switch to a few smaller boxes I believe when I get older. How much would it suck to have a SDB full of coins but you cannot see them because you can't lift the box!
