I've been looking to buy single coins for my collection. I need the Chester A. Arthur presidential dollar, 2012 Native American dollar, and the Chaco Culture ATB quarter. Anyone know a good place to buy these cheap? I've looked for the quarter in circulation but have had no luck.
Do you want them now or do you want them cheap? Either wait and hope to find them cheap or go over to eBay and pay what the market is for them. None are really making it into circulation like in the past as there is no need for them there.
What do you mean by "cheap"? How much do think you'll have to spend over a couple of dollars? I guess if things are truly that tight, you could visit a couple of banks and see if they have any. You won't find the Arthur dollars at face value.
Hate to tell but it does cost to ship items and you have to pay for someones time to pack and mail the items. Most of the time many sellers have to build it into the price of the items they sell.
ya I figured that, I was just trying to find a place that might be a little cheaper. Its worth trying anyway.
If you are in no rush, you will be able to bid on them at coinshop.com (free shipping) later this year after the uncirculated mint set is released. If you in a hurry, the best place to buy now is probably a local B&M or coin show. TC
Maybe you could bundle them with some other items to where the shipping per item would become minimal.
Not sure if its cheaper but you might be better off buying the Arthurs & 2012 NA dollars direct from the Mint if you order in 20 roll increments.
