1953 Proof Lincoln Cent. I bought this off eBay for $70 (slabbed by NGC as PF66 RB). I was SHOCKED how pretty it was when I got this in the mail. I crossed this to PCGS, where it dropped one grade, to PR65 RB. (I got the grade and the TrueView photo last week.) This monster proof has a stunningly beautiful look -- one of the prettiest Proof Lincolns I've seen from the early 1950's.
Today is my birthday and my mom surprised me with a ancient, it was surprised to say the least as I havent gotten a "coin gift" since childhood. She has a good eye Theodosius I (379 - 395 A.D.) Bronze AE2 O: D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG, rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. R: GLORIA ROMANORVM, Theodosius standing left, head right, standard in right, globe in left, ANTA in ex. Antioch 4.67g 20.6mm RIC IX 68b
Goodies from the junk silver bin. Care to guess grade and value on the 1920 SLQ? The dark spots are just toning
Last two needed for my PCGS type set. I was able to pick up the last two coins I needed for my 20th century PCGS type set at the Texas ANA show in Ft Worth today. Picked up this 1911 barber in PCGS 62 CAC'd and this 1907 Barber quarter in PCGS 62. Stayed in budget too.
