    The high relief needs to fill the metal into deeper spaces which is hard to do on business strikes. Even the latrer design was hard to mint as you can see the hair line

    Some nice Peace dollars on this thread. Here are a couple of mine.

    It's interesting to note the difference in quality of strike on the 25 vs the 24.
