    What coin is that on? Looks like a Dutch sour grapes piece...

    As the inscription says, it is about "400 years Netherlands-Manhattan" relations. In 1609 Henry Hudson, working for the Dutch VOC, landed at a site which is known as Manhattan. :) We've had earlier topics about this issue (here for example: http://www.cointalk.com/t47651/), but the image links in that old topic are mostly "dead" now ...

    Thats how I ruined it, buy trying to take that picture of the side of the coin!

    The Dutch edge lettering is GOD ZIJ MET ONS (God be with us). Can be found on every €2 coin, and on those collector coins too.

    The Dutch kicked English butt in the Anglo-Dutch conflicts. They'd probably still be at it if not for the "Glorious Revolution"......
