Hello, greetings to all:hail:. I got this piece and I have doubts about its authenticity. FRANCE 2 SOLS LOUIS XVI 1792 BB STRASBOURG (or 2 salaires constitutionnelles) Bronce?,22.8 grs,34 mm It is a piece of bell, as they are known. but its alloy, size and weight vary greatly. By condition,:so-sad::so-sad: I do not think anyone even think fake. other than the currency is cheap. I like for its historical value. but I still have doubts. If someone knows the subject or are interested, I would appreciate enormously your response. Greetings and thanks. This is in good condition. It´s not a fake. But there are lots of stamps and materials used for making them, making it difficult even confirm if mine is a fake. Grateful.:help!A::help!A: Danielus
Hello "Cucumbor" : Nothing in particular. only replicas abound, and if you buy by mail worse. Some have the most trained eye to distinguish these things. I lack knowledge. Then bubbles to the right of the bust, on letters, made me think that could be cast. these coins were minted with flywheel presses. A friend told me it could be due to defective material blanks(cospeles). They used a large type of alloys. And the nose is what lets me more intrigued. Thanks for responding. Regards
I see nothing to make me think it is fake. The size & weight are as they should be, the design is as it should be. As for the porosity, my guess would be it was a ground find.
Thank you. I'm glad you say on the coin. Here it is not easy to find catalogs with which to compare. And the network did not find much material on these in particular. Thanks again.:thumb:
Hello "Siberian Man": :smileThank you very much. I am very happy to compare them. I've removed all doubt. Thanks again.:thumb: Greetings from Argentina. Daniel
daniel, they look genuine to me, in fact i would guarantee they are genuine. i had a large collection of coins and france was one of my favourite areas to collect.
WOW! Argentina! It's the country from another side of Earth! I have a big collection of an Argentina's coins! For example...
i fell in love with argentina when i visited there a few years ago, the coins of the country are superb............
Hi, "siberian Man": I live here and just got this.:rollling: yours is in very good condition. These coins were minted in the first after the revolution of 1810. and sent them in Soho mint. This is of the Krause... Buenos Aires, a city and province in eastern Argentina, was the first province to have coins made outside the country. Governor Martin Rodriguez initiated negotiations with Boulton & Watt (Soho Mint) in 1821. The Banco Nacional was dissolved in 1836 and the Casa de Moneda took its place. The most beatifull coins (desings) for me was a "Patacón" (Oudine) series...(very expensive in our's days...) these are the only ones I have... Sorry i don't have phot machine, this is a scan photos... And this is a collection af cupro-nickels of five cents (with the same desing...i do't have 1898...ufff) If you tell me where you looking for, and if I have repeated, we can exchange. (If the shipping is not very expensive ja ja ... this not a good time in today's economy in my country...) I live just in the center of Argentina, Córdoba Capital.) thanks for everything. Regards
Hello "moneyer12" ::smile Glad you liked the country, but the coins are not now as before. The last $ 2, Hummmm .. They are not the best designs that have been made...Anyway, we still have the "Asado"... But is very expensive to eat it here.Ja ja. Is not it paradoxical? Thank's. Regards.
Hi "Siberian Man"... ...It was a joke. It would be impossible to pay the shipping. It would be like the salary of one month of work.ja ja.. I read about Tomsk, ¡What a beatifull place! and I read that: "Tomsk was established under a decree from Tsar Boris Godunov" ¡¡Guau!!. The opera of Musorgsky is one of my favorites...a fabulous job of composition. Thank's for bring him back to my memory. Greetings. I hope one day shipments are cheaper.
hi daniel, i have quite a few friends in rosario and buenos aries, who i have regular contact with. they have sent me many superb coins and notes over the years and i have sent them the modern uk issues in exchange...............
Hello "moneyer 12" My experience was with a Spanish friend, and the cost of shipping was expensive (to me...). but, perhaps, was the way I sent it. Tell me more. maybe I'm wrong. I have no experience shipping overseas. I would like to make exchanges. Still I think siberia .... hummm. What coins did you like here?. Thank's.:hail:
daniel, i usually use small package mail which is a secure as registered but less than half the cost. by the way which football team do you support? i am a river plate fan second only to liverpool.......
None in particular. I'm not a fan of football. My parents did not see it. so I did not learn to like it. ...I guess I missed something. is a pity for me. especially on Sundays. When all the people expect the games. The children of my wife made me see some of "The Manchester". That's what my limited knowledge of the subject ja ja...very poor ¿No? For the other hand, I was looking in the net. the prices in "Correo Argentino", perhaps when i sent the package to Spain, I was charged more than necessary, and that was my last experience in the field, the price scared me and I not tried again., I guess I should try again. Regards.:smile
