Found first ladder

A week or so after putting together my $1 type set and posting it, I finally found my first ladder, so I'll be adding/changing it a little. This ladder is the 4 digit kind, but I still consider it a ladder. Please offer your opinions:

I wouldn't call the serial number "2915 2914" a "ladder" — I'd call it "almost a repeater".

 

I agree. It's really stretching it to call it a ladder. You see these kinds of things flogged on ebay. In my book, it's a spender. Sorry.

 

OK, thanks for the feedback. Would you consider a two digit sequence a ladder? such as 23242526?

Look at what some folks on eBay call ladder notes.

• "Broken Ladder" — L03785469* because it contains the numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 0.
• "Broken Ladder Ending" — L48244123Q, L48244567Q, and L4824890Q because the last three or four characters of each note are 123 4567 890.
• "Ladders" — H08858380B, H0885381B, H08855382B through H08858387B because they're sequential serial numbers.
• "Ladder Brick Set" — L34131234G, L34131567G, and L34131890G because the last three or four characters of each note are 1234 567 890.
• "Ladder Note" — ID44567892A ("456789" is a partial ladder).
• "Ladder with six "0's"" — I00080009A
• "Fancy Poker Ladder" — F31323333H
• "Fancy Ladder" — L11223300A
• "Super Cool Ladder — B01000002A
• "Birth-Year Ladder — I19721932A (Where's the ladder?)
• "Triple Ladder" — 10 notes E13778000B through E13778999B with E13778111B, E13778222B, etc.
• "Mixed Ladder" — C40673125A because it contains the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
• "Fantastic Ladder" — II66777883A

That is kind of crazy....I've seen stuff like that on ebay and wondered what they were smoking. I really thought that a ladder could be like the one I got. Thanks so much for your posts and helping me get up to speed....they were a lot more helpful than say, "whatever spins your propeller."

I wouldn't personally keep that bill, but I know folks who would... Looks pretty cool to me!
