Provide worthless information and your note is worth nothing. This forum tends to trend heavily to US collectors and even more so in the Paper Money forum so you need to be specific about what you are asking about. What country is the note from? While Canada has 7 digits in SNs, modern US notes have 8 numbers in the SN. What does the whole serial number look like? AA 1234000, for instance? Provide a picture too, as condition helps or negates any value to a note. An SN alone cannot determine value.
Now I remember why I don't come here anymore. Location says Canada. Serial number is 7 digits. Come on... And to answer your quesion, most novelty serial numbers like this are not really worth anything extra.
Actually, many paper money collectors of fancy serial numbers are willing to pay a premium for such features on a note, for example: A recent PMG article on Fancy Serial numbers & coolserialnumbers.com Tickle Your Fancy Currency And here is a Canadian example recently shown on CT: My First Solid Found In Circulation!!!
I'm from Canada and I collect "Fancy" serial numbers and so do several other collectors I am in contact with. Rotator notes, radars, solid numbers, ladders all garner a very nice premium. I also collect error notes and have one of the largest collections of Canadian error notes. If you have any "worthless" fancy numbered notes, I'll gladly take them off your hands.
Not unless the number is 1234321 or 1234567. There might be others but I'm on my first cup of coffee.
I have a crisp $20 bill fresh from an ATM that I think is pristine. Put it in a sleeve immediately. Serial number is 14414144. I'm probably going to buy cigarettes with it today. Been looking at what these things sell for and I don't want to go to a lot of trouble to make a couple of bucks on it. Don't have PayPal and wouldn't know how to sell it.
