Time has changed the hobby for the better. Emphasis on preservation, grading and education is now the norm. And rightfully so. I have a type set put together by one of my uncles in the thirtys that was glued into a frame and then a thick layer of varnish was put over the coins. Apparently this wasn't all that uncommon in those days, but I don't think the world needs any more. Those poor Barbers would cry if they their eye weren't sealed shut.
