Pennies I've held onto..see anything good?

    Hey guys these are just some pennies I've held onto for a while till I learn what exactly im doing so please just bare with me. Any comments and tips would be great I'm just trying to learn what exactly to look for. I'm really interested in unique flaws...Big or small. So if you guys would take a look and let me know what you think that would be amazing! Once again tips would be so much help. Sorry if the pictures are a bit crappy.Thank you so much ahead of time :)

    They look like run-of-the-mill copper cents.

    LOL roll searching for someone else. I dont think there is anything significant or worth keeping but keep trying.

    RPM= Re-Punched Mint mark

    DDO= Double Die Obverse

    DDR= Double Die Reverse

    May I ask Why is there such a difference in the D on these? Is it just wear?

    Welcome to CoinTalk !

    I think in 1968 they still punched the mint mark by hand. This would allow for different amounts of alloy to hit the coin. I am just guessing at this. You may want to check out a website called CONECA if you would like to learn more about Mint Mark styles that were used for different years and coins. check it out ----> http://varietyvista.com/Denver Mintmark Syles Cent.htm


    You could also have a RPM on the lower 1968-D. It looks very much like an example at Coppercoins.com

    I believe they still hand-punched the mintmark in by hand until 1990 or so, so definitely it would be hand-punched
