I am an ANA member and would like to send off a raw coin for NCS to conserve and NGC to grade. DO I have to fill out an NCS and NGC submission form and mail them together? I can't find this information on teir website and customer service hours are closed.

    Thanks

They'll open again tomorrow morning. Give them a call. Their CSR's will take very good care of you and answer any questions you may have. Best of all, they'll do it patiently and pleasantly.

I agree the gals over there are always pleasant to talk to and have always been able to give me a hand on questions that I have had on my submissions. I would give them a high MS70 grade for customer service.

Also, make sure to take some good quality BEFORE pics prior to sending the coin(s) in. And then when they come back the AFTER pics. Then rush to cointalk.com and post them for us to see.

I would suggest you post pics of the coin here first because there are many coins that should not even be sent in to NCS. Asking for opinions on this could save you some money and heartache.

In addition to what Doug stated, I would add that we could also see if the coin would grade high enough to warrant a submission, which would save you the grading fees as well.

There is a checkbox on the NCS submission form for them to do conservation if necessary and then pass along to NGC for grading, no need to fill out two forms. But you an always ask them directly if you want to make sure.

This is my understanding as well. I have done his before.

Please post photos of the coin(s) you want conserved & graded in advance of sending them.
