Got mine today. Series 2003a. Numbers I20122672A and D trough I20122675A and D.
    Nicely embossed tri-fold packaging, 9.5" x 10".

I wonder if anyone got 20122102 or 20122012, or were these pulled out by BEP?

Arrived yesterday. GEM centering, nice packaging, but less than remarkable serial numbers.

Doc, look at it a couple of ways. 1.) Pass it down. Matching bro-sis pairs are cool. 2.) In five years remove the notes and tripple your money on eBay.
I spent $20 bucks on much less for sure, and I think the set is pretty neat even if it doesn't become a collectible.
I have the 1$, 2$, & 5$ set framed up and it's always a conversation starter. Heck even my mother who was in banking for over two decades didn't believe I had matching numbers untilled I showed her.
Oh heck 3.) Bar tricks = free drinks lol

Just got mine today, and I must say it's a nice piece! The heavy embossing on the front was not expected, and all being I/9 makes it all the better.
I got nothing special on the number *5478, & *5479... (Pretty dang high compared to you guys? Maybe selling out soon?)
Screw the RADAR and REPEATER, 2012-1776, 1789, or 1791 would be the bomb with this set!

BTW: I'm framing one, and it's going next to my 2011 I/9~J/10 $2 matching set.

I just got 2 consecutive # sets on ebay. Nice sets for about the same as it would have cost buying them from BEP - my first-ever currency purchase.

I tried ordering from the BEP website first. After I went through all those keystrokes, They send the confirmation e-mail. It says "order #xxxxx" - DECLINED.

Ok, I'm not getting anything from them, obviously, they must be sold out or something. My CC has no issues. So I went to ebay and bought the sets I wanted. So what do I find in the mail yesterday? My order from BEP! What the?? After getting declined!.....do they usually operate like this?

Another thing : the serial on this set is#9445. I thought they were only making 9000 of these. Don't they start with #0000? Oh well, I'm new to paper collecting, I'm probably missing something...

They print extra notes to allow for defects, notes that get banged up while being inserted into the packaging, and such. In this case, it appears that they printed the full 10,000 possible serials from 20120000 to 20129999, but they're still issuing only 9000 sets.

I have no idea whether or not the BEP ships the sets in serial number order. If they do, then it looks like a sellout must be near....

I ordered five sets, and I received five sets of sequential serial numbers - 20121494 through 20121498.

How are you able to keep track of the count?

Any idea how many if the 2012 $2 single note were sold today?

I don't really see what's "historic" about this offering? I'm not a big into notes but this didn't seem that big of a deal to me. I won't be buying.
